It’s always a bittersweet moment saying goodbye to a colleague as they move on to new and exciting career challenges. Eloise has been at the helm of Blackwood Miners’ Institute since it’s re-opening in 2022, and has been a vitally important figure in not only getting the venue back up and running, but also in expanding the availability of arts and cultural performances in Blackwood and its surrounding areas.
But after two years with Blackwood Miners’ Institute, Eloise has been offered a fantastic opportunity with Hijinx Theatre Company based in Cardiff and will leave for a new adventure on July 12.
“I have learned so much during my time at Blackwood Miners’ and am immensely proud of everything we have achieved during such a challenging time for arts and culture. This building and the community here in Blackwood are so special and I hope it continues to thrive for many years to come. Thanks to my colleagues who work so hard and are such wonderful humans. I will miss them all hugely. I am looking forward to a new challenge with the fantastic Hijinx Theatre and cannot wait to get started in July.”
