Tuesday 24 March
The health and wellbeing of the community is paramount, therefore Caerphilly County Borough Council has been closely monitoring the situation surrounding the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) outbreak, aligning our response to the Public Health Wales guidelines, whilst continuing to provide local entertainment and leisure opportunities in our venues.
In line with recent decisions, we have decided that it is in the best interest of the community to close Blackwood Miners Institute with immediate effect. All performances, meetings, dance sessions and other room bookings are therefore cancelled as from today’s date.
At this time, it is difficult to predict when the venue might re-open, but it is likely that the closure will remain effective until the end of June at the earliest.
Thank you for your support and patience during this challenging time.
If you hold a ticket for a performance or event that has been postponed or cancelled, please do not contact box office. In light of the recent announcement by the Prime Minister, Box Office is no longer available via the phone. However, our team is still working as quickly as possible to contact all customers by email to transfer tickets or offer a credit note. If you have not given box office an email address, please email firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can amend your record.
We ask all customers to be patient with us at this challenging time, and we thank you for your continued support.
